Step by Step
PSCAN instructions
TIP:
You may still use your computer after this process is being done, but
it is very important that you leave the computer on during the entire
process. Check your email frequesntly for instructions that will be
sent to you during this process of steps to take or instructions by the
techincian.
After
downloading and running the file Pscan.exe
you will see the box below asking
for important information.
NOTE:
Your ticket
number will be provided in the initial email you
received with the Pscan
instructions.
When the
program gets to Step
3 below the scan will start its process
After the scan finishes you will see a screen (See below) that will wait for instructions from Panda US.
NOTE: You must
leave the computer on and this screen open until the next step in the
process is sent to your computer which is automatic. This may take up
to 24 hours but in most cases this is done within 4-5 hours at this
point.
Once we recieved the files they will be analyzed and if malware is found a NEW SCAN will start automatically cleaning those threats found.
NOTE:
The computer may still be infected at this point so a second report
will be sent automatically to us so a technician could then verify if
further scanning is needed.
You will recieve at this point either an email or a note on your screen for further instructions.
